Strange Perspectives

These scenes are from two projects "Ceremony" and "Djinns", respectively co-directed with Sylvain Raudrant and Florian Guillaud.

For the first one (night city), it was an idea from Sylvain to mess with the perspective by misleading the direction the buildings are moving : buildings in the background are not coming toward us but go away from us. They grow bigger and bigger to hide the fact they are moving away and fake their perspective. This is a VR project and the effect takes all its strength when seen in stereocopic.

For the second scene, I played with some parallax effects in fragment shader to create impossible and changing perspectives. This is a project about fading memories, and the player wanders into this white world loosing gradually his bearings.
